This policy is issued by Hampi LLC ("we"), operating as MetabolicOS Health.
Gout Compass ("the app") is a wellness app for tracking factors associated with gout flares. We take your health data seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Gout Compass is offered only in the United States and India. Our backend is operated in the United States; if you use the factor-scoring feature, your health metrics are transmitted there over encrypted HTTPS and are not stored after the response is returned.
The app works fully without HealthKit access; connecting it is optional.
Menu photos you choose to take for the dining co-pilot feature. Menu images may be sent to Google's Gemini API for processing, to identify the dishes printed on the menu. The photo is resized on your device and travels over encrypted HTTPS via our backend. We do not store it, and Google does not use it to train its models (see Third-Party Services below). Only the dish names come back; the risk rating for each dish is computed by our own backend from a fixed nutritional table, never by the AI model.
You are asked before the first scan that would send a photo, and can turn this off at any time in Settings — menus are then read on your device instead.
Your health metrics (HRV, sleep, hydration, symptoms, labs, menu text and menu photos) are sent to our backend to compute your factor score — a wellness summary of signals associated with gout flares. This data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS, is not linked to your name or email, and is not stored after the response is returned.
If you tap "Request" for Oura or WHOOP integration, an anonymous per-install identifier is logged so we can gauge demand. No name or contact information is sent. This is entirely voluntary.
Health data collected from HealthKit and your manual entries is used solely to compute your factor score and generate wellness insights within the app. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than providing the app's core functionality.
The app uses the following third-party infrastructure:
We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services. The only AI model we use is the one described above, which reads menu photos and nothing else. Your factor score, every dish risk rating, and lab parsing are computed by our own backend from fixed rules — no AI model decides them.
We access HealthKit data only to provide insights on gout flare risk factors directly to you. We do not share HealthKit data with third parties except as described above (metrics sent to our own backend, transmitted over encrypted HTTPS, not linked to your name or email, and not stored after the response is returned). We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or with data brokers.
Your local data can be deleted at any time by deleting the app from your device (and removing the app's data from iCloud in Settings if sync was enabled). To request deletion of any server-side records (integration interest logs — the only server-side records we keep), email us at support@metabolicos.health and we will remove them within 30 days.
The app has no account and does not collect your name, email, or contact information, so most health data never leaves your device in an identifiable form. The rights below apply to the limited data described in this policy.
Our handling of consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act is described in a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or share your personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. You have the right to know what personal information we collect (described in "What We Collect"), to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise them, email support@metabolicos.health. Because the app has no account, we may be unable to verify or act on requests concerning data that exists only on your own device — that data is under your direct control and can be removed by deleting the app.
We process your health data only with your consent and only to provide the app's core wellness function. You may withdraw consent at any time by revoking HealthKit access in iOS Settings, stopping manual entry, or deleting the app. You may request access to or deletion of any data we hold — in practice, the only server-side records are the optional integration-interest logs described above, as factor-scoring data is not retained after the response is returned. Email support@metabolicos.health to make a request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India. You may also nominate another individual to exercise your rights under the Act on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity; contact us at support@metabolicos.health to do so.
Email support@metabolicos.health. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not charge you or degrade your experience for making a request.
This app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children or minors, and the youngest age range you can select during setup is 18–30 — there is no option for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, delete the app to remove their local data, or email support@metabolicos.health.
If we make material changes to what we collect or how we use it, we will present those changes in the app and ask for your consent before the new processing begins. Non-material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
